I want to welcome you, on behalf of the men and women of the Port Richey Police Department, to our website. This page will provide insight into the agency, staff, and pertinent news that may interest you.

I am blessed and thankful for the opportunity to lead and work with the members of the Port Richey Police Department. I have been fortunate to have served the citizens of Hernando County for more than 31 years and am equally lucky to start the next chapter of my law enforcement career as the Chief of Police for PRPD.
​
In addition to over 30 years of experience and knowledge, I also am driven to continue learning and improving. During my employment with this agency, accountability, professionalism, integrity, ethics, and community engagement have been the cornerstones of the agency and its administration. The pursuit of additional training for our officers and the acquisition and utilization of technology to increase effectiveness and efficiency in our operations has resulted in improved service delivery to our citizens.

Our community partners are the citizens, business owners, and religious segment of Port Richey. That partnership helps ensure that not only the residents of Port Richey but visitors feel safe and secure within our jurisdiction.

UNBIASED POLICING
It shall be the policy of the Port Richey Police Department that all contacts with members of the public are done with fairness, equity, and honesty. Any conduct, which deviates from this will not be tolerated and will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

It is the policy of the Port Richey Police Department to define the procedures and practices prohibiting biased policing of individuals in accordance with Florida Statutes for traffic contacts, field contacts, searches and seizures, asset seizure and forfeiture efforts, detention, interdiction, or other enforcement action by members of the Police Department.
